1994 US Open 9 Ball Championships from the Holiday Inn in Chesapeake, Virginia. Barry Behrman presents the US Open 9 Ball championships - this semi-final match features "The Hurricane" Tony Ellin taking on "The Magician" Efren Reyes.
9-Ball . . . also known as Television Pool. It contains all the features the illiterate public demands: 'open' powerhouse breaks; insuring one of those nine balls will drop; with the rest scattered out for easy shots. (No need to worry about complicated combos or banks). And if you encounter something kinda hard, Don't worry . . . HIT IT HARD . . . if it drops you get to keep on playing. The only challenge is the numerical progression, but using any more balls would tax their brains.
We used to play this game, BUT WE CALLED IT SLOP.
